Oxy-Acetylene welding, sometimes is also called “gas” welding, because you use acetylene gas as the fuel for the welding torch. An oxy acetylene produces some flame that makes the metals you’re welding melt together. This bonds the pieces with the resulting weld seam. This method is fast and easy to use as well as the result is strong enough for most purposes.
The main idea of this course is to teach students how to use Oxy-Acetylene equipment to weld a limited range of mild steel joints working in a proper way and safely.
